A recent study by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute shows that when measuring healthy lifestyles, Peoria ranks 61 out of 102 counties in Illinois. WTVP Public Television decided to help their local community by creating Healthy Family, a joint project of WTVP Public Television and the Peoria City/County Health Department. The station, working in conjunction with the health department, will be producing two minute videos to educate the viewers with steps they can take to have a healthy family.
The Healthy Family project includes videos on topics such as Low Birth Weight, Safe Sleep Baby, Child Dental Care, Car Seat Safety and Breastfeeding. Here is a sample video:
