  • Next Generation Warning System Grant Program (NGWSGP)

    This infrastructure program for public broadcasters was created by the Department of Homeland Security's FEMA and has been run by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Public television and radio stations compete for grants to upgrade their technology and provide accompanying training. As of August 18, 2025, CPB has ended their role in this grant program.

  • Digitizing Hidden Collections: Amplifying Unheard Voices Grant Program

    Supports awards ranging from $50,000 to $300,000 for the digitization of rare and unique materials that deepen the public understanding of underrepresented communities. Deadline: October 20, 2025.

  • NIHCM Journalism Grants

    Grants of up to $100,000 are available for local and national organizations involved in healthcare reporting. Deadline: October 27, 2025.

  • Archival Projects

    The National Archives' NHPRC will award up to $150,000 for digitizing historical records collections. Eligible historical records include documents, photographs, born-digital records and analog audio and moving images. Deadline: November 5, 2025 (Optional draft due August 15, 2025)

  • Discovery Research K-12

    NSF's Discovery Research K-12 program seeks to enable advances in student and teacher learning of the STEM disciplines. Depending on the project type, up to $5 million may be awarded. The 2025 competition has been canceled.

  • Dollar General Adult, Family and Summer Literacy Grants

    The Dollar General Foundation will provide grants of up to $10,000 to nonprofits located within 15 miles of a Dollar General store for direct services to adults with literacy needs. This program cycle has ended after the February 2025 deadline. We expect to see a new competition in 2026.

  • Celebrate America!

    New NEH matching grants will provide up to $25,000 for celebrations of the nation’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026. NEH anticipates making 250 awards. Allowable activities could include screenings, community events, digital content, educational content, teacher training and documentary work. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
