Joyce Burgess Schwarz

Joyce Burgess Schwarz joined APTS in 1985. Her career in public broadcasting began in 1976, holding various positions with the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) until 1983. Joyce took a brief break from APTS from 1997-1999 to work with the American Institute of Graphic Arts as a meeting planning consultant. Currently, Joyce is the lead meeting planner for APTS, overseeing logistical arrangements for the annual Public Media Summit and all in-place Board of Directors and Board Committee meetings. Some other responsibilities include membership, office management, finance and database functions.
Joyce has an associate’s degree from the Washington Business School.
