WKNO Discusses Current Events in Behind the Headlines

WKNO explores the major issues facing Memphis and the Mid-South in their weekly public affairs series, Behind the Headlines.

Each week host Eric Barnes, publisher of The Memphis Daily News, discusses major stories in the Memphis area with business executives, community leaders and politicians, as well as local journalists. Guests have included U.S. Senator Bob Corker, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, Tennessee House Speaker Beth Harwell and Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland.

The program covers a wide range of topics including state, regional and local politics, public housing, local redevelopment, criminal justice reform, efforts to end blight, minority business, education, immigration, crime and more.

Behind the Headlines can be seen Friday nights at 7 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. on WKNO-HD, and is repeated on WKNO-2.
