The 2012 National Advocacy Awards recognize two exceptional individuals who exemplify effective advocacy on behalf of public television.
The 2012 David J. Brugger Grassroots Advocacy Award
APTS presented the 2012 David J. Brugger Grassroots Advocacy Award to Catherine Ann Stevens for her work this past year during the most challenging federal funding crisis of the past 15 years, as well as her long-time service on the WETA board of trustees.
The 2012 EDGE Awards
The EDGE Awards are presented annually to public television stations that use digital technology, groundbreaking partnerships and educational technologies to deliver innovative services to their communities.
The 2011 David J. Brugger Grassroots Advocacy Award
The APTS Board of Trustees created the David J. Brugger Grassroots Advocacy Award in honor of its former president and CEO, David Brugger, who worked tirelessly to recognize the tremendous contribution of grassroots advocates to the system.
