HoustonPBS Prepares Local Community with GED® Test Preparation

HoustonPBS, public media for Southeast Texas, participates in the GED® Connection program, through PBS LiteracyLink, which provides on-air GED® test preparation classes and online computer technology. These integrated multimedia components work together to make studying for the GED® easy for a busy adult who needs to work at his or her own pace.

Viewers in the local Southeast Texas area can tune in to GED® test preparation videos on Houston PBS Monday through Friday at 1:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Channel 8 and 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Channel 8.2.

HoustonPBS currently airs 20 to 25 weekly announcements raising awareness for the GED® initiative.
