Nomination and Selection Criteria

The EDGE Awards

Nominating Process

The deadline for nomination is January 18, 2008.

All APTS members and associate members may submit nominations.  Please fill out the nomination form online.

Selection Process

As the digital transition expands across the country, so does the scope of public broadcasting. In recognition of the innovative progress made by public television stations in this field, the Association of Public Television Stations presents the EDGE Awards.

This year, two EDGE awards will be granted, one in the area of groundbreaking partnerships, the other in educational innovations. The selection committee seeks stations or individuals who have:

  • fostered novel or remarkably fruitful partnerships, particularly in areas like public safety
  • practiced innovative use of digital technology to provide educational services
